Co-op info

The game wasn't designed or balanced with co-op in mind, so many things about the coop are just things that needed to be done in a specific way in order not to break the game entirely.

There are several obvious limitations in the co-op's implementation (because the game was created strictly as a single-player experience), however the 4 player co-op is hilarious and extremely fun.

• Local co-op only, online isn't planned.
  This was a crazy feature we added by toying around with the code which started out as something that the programmers did for fun. An online mode would require reprogramming an important part of the game and is not feasible. This isn't something that was meant to be a feature of the game.
  
• Up to 4 players
  
• Shared screen, player 1 controls the camera.
  
• Requires at least 2 gamepads (for 2 players. 3-4 gamepads for 3-4 players). Mouse + keyboard and gamepad 1 controls player 1.
  
• Other players get to play with the character that player 1 chooses.
  
• Player 1 chooses when you can aim down (due to the camera change)

Can't start Local COOP in Story Mode.

I have two Xbox360 controllers plugged in and I can't find a way to spawn the second player. (Coop works fine in Survive mode) Please help!

Just to be sure, have you enabled co-op on the start/continue game screen?

damn i miss only the damn 18 wave in survival achievment, completed 2 times the game but survival is to much hard with the damn red electrified floor too..hoped in coop online for survival to get some help for the achievemnt ..but i guess it remains a dream as my 100% in this great game:(

Don't give up! Search this forum, there is a thread where people shared their strategies for the survival mode.

damn wanna play this on remote play tested out several options but none works.
controller seems to work perfectly but even though I press start (coop enabled!) nothing changes
I control the camera and my coop friend the blows and strikes... damn!! ;(

Pretty sure co-op was added before there even was remote play, so it was never tested with it. Can't help here.

yep probably that's it, my coop friend doesn't have a gamepad. I do. We kinda share the same (and only) character.
