how can I make the paper pieces puzzle?

I got the paper pieces, then I go to the desk. But the voice acting continues to tell "I need something"...maybe missed how to put the pieces on the desk for the minigame to start right?

you have to cycle through your inventory and stop on the paper peices. then click on the box.

How does one cycle through their inventory (PC)? I can click directly on the puzzle pieces in the inventory, but that does not select them. @raffaccio's questions is still valid.

you have to select them BEFORE you click the puzzle, and the pieces are ridicolous to navigate with a mouse and keyboard. it's not you, it's the game.

you click on your right mousebutton to cycle through inventory, and left to select the item.
