Stephen's Sausage Roll

Stephen's Sausage Roll

This game ruined puzzles for me.
I beat it three days ago and now nothing is the same.

I felt so frustrated, frustrated that I will never experience a puzzle game that will make me feel the same way as this sausage game again. I've been looking hard for more puzzle games but nothing comes even close to how tightly designed this game is.
This paradoxical feeling that is created with such simple yet elegant level design is very rare to come by. Not to mention the ever-expanding knowledge and tricks that you learn that transform you into a sausage master through the harshest conditions. And finally, despite the game thoroughly exploring its mechanics, it feels like there's still much more to unearth.

After cooking all these sausages, all I want at least is for something to cook the uncooked sausage in my heart.

ok, outburst over.

Have you tried the community-invented bonus puzzle?

Unfortunately, I've seen a solution to it before I knew about the challenge, which is a shame.

Ah. Well, if it involved dropping the platforms in the ocean, you could go for a solution I found independently that doesn't require that. :D

Also I noticed you own Induction, but haven't played it. It's worth your time as a time-travel puzzle.

Increpare's other game on steam English Country Tune ruined puzzles for me in the same way check it out if you haven't played. Love these games.

Out of the other puzzle games I've played, I think Portal 2 is the best one. Some of the community test chambers are nearly as difficult and logical as Stephen's Sausage Roll. You can also play challenge mode and try to finish each level by shooting your portal gun exactly twice. I have also heard that Braid and Opus Magnum are fun puzzle games, though I have not played them yet. You might want to at least read a few reviews for each of these 3 games.

But given that you're smart enough to finish Stephen's Sausage Roll, solving P=NP is probably a more productive use of your time. Try to figure it out before someone else releases a better puzzle game.

The only other puzzle game I've found to come close to the same focus on straightforward logic and information at expense of all else is SnakeBird (it also has the similar "learn the quirks of the physics and movement purely by experimentation as the game goes on" vibe that makes Stephen's so great!).

'Baba is you'!! is a fantastic puzzle game! i love it and I was searching for a similar one, but still different challenges and I found Stephen Sausage Roll. Very happy

Baba is You is probably harder because it has a greater number of hard levels (there are more levels in the game). It's also more obscure, so reaching 100% completion is a quite mighty challenge. It also now has 3 core level packs instead of just the one 1 original core pack, and there is a lot of additional challenge to be found there.

SSR took me about 70 hours (still trying to figure out how some people claim to have completed this game in 20-25 hours... are these guys geniuses or something). Baba is You took over 100 hours for the original level pack, and 100s for all 3 packs. Maybe I'm on the slow side or something, but have oodles of patience.

Both of these games provide plenty of challenge, and are significantly harder than say, The Witness or The Talos Principle in terms of reaching the real completion points of those games, though it must be said that to get a true 100% completion of The Witness and The Talos Principle is awkward and difficult in terms of weeding out every single environmental puzzle and finding every gold star respectively.

I think there is a new game that must suits your interest: Can of Wormhole. This game is unpopular, but it is still very difficult, and the most important thing is that it also has many hidden complex mechanisms.
