Needing help with boot menu

So my biggest problem is that I’m trying to install Windows 10 through a usb, but my screen stays black upon trying to prompt the boot menu. I had been trying to find several ways and alternatives to fix this. Firstly I tried to see if I could change around with settings and enable legacy bios for the hard drive, but that immediately failed with an error message with a prompt telling me that something crucial was missing to do it. Then I tried to see if I could refresh the bios which I had learned through a video

But to no available that didn’t work either. I have. Right now I generally have no idea what to do to get it properly running. Thought about even unmounting the OS, but generally have no idea what would happen if I did.
