How do I hide or disable this overlay?
https://ibb.co/hVRx1Cd

I am streaming my game from a desktop to a laptop. Whenever I press any key on the keyboard of my laptop, this overlay as the bottom left of the screenshot from the URL I posted pops out, and never goes back. I have indeed trying disabling the controller layout thingy from Settings > Steam remote play > Advanced client settings.

Please give me a help; this is freaking annoying, I am at the point of considering using alternative streaming SW like Parsec.

That should go away on its own... It's supposed to tell you that you can hold Escape to open up the streaming controls. Maybe try holding Escape to bring up the controls and then backing out of them? I have seen it happen once or twice on certain games and that's done the trick for me.

First things first: this feature needs a toggle in the client.

Yes, hitting the ESC on the kb or the BACK button on your gamepad does clear the message. However, in some cases it will deactivate your game window and pass control back to the Big Picture UI. In my case, it always does this when I'm running a Non-Steam version of Retroarch and causes much frustration.

The solution is to run a version of Steamlink that doesn't have this feature. I think there is a thread in this forum that talks about how to do it with the actual steamlink hardware.

If that's not enough to disable it, if you own the physical steam link, the same setting is under Settings > Streaming > Advanced Options > Controller Overlay > Disable

If you're using the steam link app instead, it's Settings > Streaming > Controller Overlay > Disable
