Struggling To Get Mouse/Keyboard to Work On iPad Pro and Steam Link
I've been messing with this for a couple of days, and don't seem to be able to get it done. Here's my tech specs:

2017 iMac (5k) w/ 40Gb RAM, 3TB Fusion Drive running 10.14.6 (haven't gone to Catalina yet)
2019 iPad Pro running 14.1
Logi trackball mouse
Apple iPad Pro Keyboard Folio (keyboard in iPad/s case)

I can get the mouse to work fine when it's tied into the computer, but it needs to be in bluetooth range. I can switch it to supporting the iPad, but it's ignored within Steam Link. Same goes for the keyboard on the Folio.

I've tried using Big Picture, and fiddling with whatever settings there are in the Steam Link app, both on the client and server sides, and I just can't figure out how to get this to work correctly. I've got both Bluetooth and the Local Network set up in the iPad's Steam Link Settings.

I mostly want to use this to play games like Civ or similar, I don't need this for FPS or anything with relative mouse support.

I've also tried a regular Apple Magic Mouse, no joy.

I have a degree in electrical engineering and can generally figure stuff out. Any suggestions are welcome.

Again, I can get the game to actually play, I just can't get Steam Link to recognize the trackball mouse or keyboard through the iPad.

Really hoping I don't need to update to Catalina, I have a couple of legacy apps I'd really like to keep using and Catalina will kill them (and TW: Rome 2 too!).

Thanks in advance.

I tried using an iPad with iPadOS 13.6, and it didn't work any better. In fact, it froze the computer for a good 10 minutes. Very hesitant to go to Catalina just for this functionality, Apple used to put out nice stable builds, but now it's a sh*tshow and I tend to be one release back once they've gotten it about as stable as they can.
