Steam Link

Pi 5
Is Steam Link compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5, and if not does Valve plan on making it compatible once they get a hold of one?

Not sure if Raspberry Pi Trading provided Valve with any review units, but if not they will be shipping by the end of October.

Can you send me a tutorial to install Moonlight on Pi5?

This worked for me: https://github.com/moonlight-stream/moonlight-docs/wiki/Installing-Moonlight-Qt-on-Raspberry-Pi-4

They marked the steps you don't need to do on RP5. My issue with moonlight is it doesn't run in a console environment on the RP5, I keep getting a no screens available error.

I'm having the same problem and the only way I've gotten it to launch in terminal is:
echo '{ "device": "/dev/dri/card1" }' > eglfs.json QT_QPA_EGLFS_KMS_CONFIG=eglfs.json moonlight-qt

Look into Sunshine, it works on AMD/Intel GPUs to stream to Moonlight.

Any update from Valve on this would be great!

I recently upgraded my Pi from a 3B to a 5 for many reasons, and Steamlink was going to be among them. Unfortunately when trying to install Steamlink I've been met with numerous installation errors (which look to have already been mentioned by other users in this thread)

It would be great if Steamlink could be run on the newer hardware/OS! Any information on this would be awesome :) I'll just have to continue using my 3B in the meantime.

I would just be interested to know whether this version is being worked on or whether I should look around for new alternatives.

They're in stock at Adafruit at MSRP; Raspberry Pi Trading is catching up on production.
