You would be able to verify a hard system lock, check temperatures, etc. that way.
vcgencmd measure_temp
I sit @ about 46*C at idle and 53*C on load.
Throttling starts at 70*C. Crashing expected over 85*C
Hello, i have the same issue in Diablo 3.
It crashes after 1-2 minutes playing.
Other games work like Moonlighter or Castlevania LoS without crash.
Did you mean with update the rp3 software via
or you mean newest drivers and so on on your pc?
thanks,
Alex =)
Could be yeah, but it happens so fast that I think something else's at play here.
Both actually. The apt update part comes with the retropie setup script updater.
But that wasn't enough. I installed latest drivers of my GPU and restarted the PC.
I updated the pi completely and also my geforce driver.
steam link worsk still without problems for other games like moonlighter.
BUT it still crashes with diablo 3.
To be exact:
if the mouse cursor changes too often the image (like the hovering speak bubble) it crashes ^^
well i gues im unlucky, because it is not a steam game i dont think they will investigate into that issue
Could be indeed, try messing with the display settings of the game, see if there's something like fullscreen, borderless fullscreen and so on.
But does your RPI really hard crash?
Check your resolution. Pi only wants 1080p or less. Anything larger and it might work for a few seconds/minutes and then crash/reboot the software.
I just re-confirmed it by trying to stream 4k over and 1440p over.
and it looks not like a complete hard crash, more like steamlink complete crash
i will look into that.
but for now i can CONFIRM the problem for me is the cursor!
When the cursor changes too often then steamlink crashes.
I used yolo-mouse to overlay the mouse cursor with a custom to confirm it.
When the cursor does not change im suddenly able to play on the RPi without problems.
maybe i will create another thread for that problem, dont think it is related to your crash. (only seemed at the beginning)
i will also have a check on other games where the mouse icon also changes often in short time and if there steamlink also crashes or if it is nly d3 related.
greetings!
And also thaks for the reply.
short question:
for you now everything works fine with updated pc/rpi/steam-link?
and i found something similar to my problem now:
