Steam Link

Google TV Streamer is impressive
I've owned the original Steam link hardware, RPI 4, Chromecast w/ Google TV, and now the Google TV Streamer. Up until now, the best steam link experience was always with the original hardware, but the Google TV Streamer has ended that reign.

Streaming PC Host runs Linux and is hard wired to the router, but my steam link hardware, etc are 5Ghz WiFi streaming 1080P.

Original Steam link hardware:
- < 1ms input
- < 1 ms ping
- ~22 - 29ms Display (wifi controller mode)

RPI 4 hardware:
- < 1ms input
- < 1 ms ping
- ~26 - 32ms Display (wifi controller mode)

Chromecast w/ Google TV hardware:
- < 1ms input
- < 1 ms ping
- ~35 - 48ms Display (BLE controller mode)

Google TV Streamer hardware:
- < 1ms input
- < 1 ms ping
- ~13 - 16ms Display (BLE controller mode)

How do you manage to use the controller in BLE? I can use stadia controller normally, or Xbox, but for some reason Steam Controller is detected as mouse by Google Streamer, it is detected as steam controller at Steam Link but if I try to unlock the computer, nothing works, no way to select the virtual keyboard. No response from any input.
Once unlocked, everything works fine.
thx for testing all those values. :47_thumb_up:
cause of that over 32ms delay, i was consider move to new Google TV Streamer from CcwGT 4k (2020) model.
even in lower the bitrate or resolutions from both sides, change to Broadcomm chip used routers, change to 6Ghz bands, couldn't lower the value at the limit.
guess i should consider move to Google TV Streamer HW if microsoft's wireless display mode in new LGTV can't get the enough low latency in high bitrates.
(samsung wasn't considered cause they're still stuck at Wifi5 in TV)
