GameSir controller not working in Steam Link app

I have here a couple of older GameSir Bluetooth controller. As far as Android (Poco X3 Pro) is concerned they seem to be supported just fine, I can navigate the Android11/MiUI UI and they work in the couple of games and joystick test apps I tried. The Steam Link app however doesn't work. The controller shows up in the "Controller Setup" list, but that's it, trying to run the Setup or Test does nothing. No button or joystick events are registered.

Using the Steam Controller on the phone however does work as expected. Using the GameSir controller on Steam Link TV box also works.

Any ideas what is going on here? Is Steam Link app more picky when it comes to controller or is there any permission or option that I am overlooking?

Try uninstalling those "joystick test apps"

Disabling "One hand mode" in Android settings fixed it.
