In your phones settings, you can change the steam link app aspect ratio to display in full screen, but there's still a decently large black section above and below the actual game, making it more like half screen 😆

try adding the custom res to the host pc in nvidia/amd/intel control panel
then
steam -> settings -> remote play -> [advanced host options] -> tick 'change res to match client'
