Philips PUS7303 Android TV - terrible input (or display?) lag
I've just bought a new Philips PUS7303 Android TV, and immediately installed the Steam Link app for it. Thing is, it has a hell of a lot of input lag with both controllers I tried (Steam Controller and PS4).

Things I've tried:

Connecting Steam Link hardware to the TV, which doesn't suffer from the same problem.

I've compared the Performance Overlay between the app and the physical Steam Link, and the main difference seems to be 'Outgoing bitrate', which is 300kbps or more on the hardware, and only 40kbps on the app. I get a 'Slow Display' message on the TV, but even if I lower the bandwidth, games have a horrible 'skipping' effect.

I've tested the Steam Link TV app with another computer, and that works quite a bit better than my main computer. Still not nearly as well as the Steam Link hardware, which gives me an outgoing bitrate of 300kbps, but it gives me a decent bitrate of 140kbps. Still, no point using it when the hardware does a much better job.

I use a homeplug adapter, which as I mentioned works very well with the Steam Link hardware. A direct ethernet connection between TV and PC offers only slightly improved performance.

I've tried Android TV Play Store games using the controller, and there's no input lag there.

The problem applies across different controllers - Bluetooth and wired

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the exact same issue with my Philips PUS7354. Did you find any solution by now? But I think it is rather display lag than input lag.

For me also Steam Link app and Moonlight have built-in delay on Android TV. When i switch to Steam Link hardware i feel no delay. :steamsad:
