If I connect my laptop to the TV it's actually playable but directly, trough the Steam link android app, it's pretty bad.
The inputs actually seem to be registering right.
If I'm looking at the host PC with the controllers connected to the client everything plays right.
I think there is some problem with the decoding/image processing on the TV even when everything is turned off.
To check input lag you need to have the controller connected to the client(either the TV or the steam link hardware) and be looking at the host's(your gaming PC) monitor.
In my case I can see my inputs beeing reflected on the host monitor with pretty much 0 latency.
But there is a pretty significant delay between the image in the host monitor and on the client.
There is clearly an issue with the image processing on the TV side. When I have another PC connected trough HDMI the delay stats are more or less the same. But the latency is a lot better.
Trough the steam link app on the TV its unplayable. Running on another computer and connecting it to the same TV works as expected and it's a pretty decent experience.
