- Disable hardware encoding on host
- Disable hardware encoding on client
- Enable "Change desktop resolution to match streaming client"
- Enable "Prioritize network trafic"
- Tried on Unbuntu 16.04 and Windows 10
So far nothing helped, still the same flickering. I'll focus more on network side of the setup now although I'm not sure if this is the problem. Both devices are connected through ethernet cable to router. Also I will try to update all the drivers.
btw I wouldn't be surprised if the problem was simply that my PC is too old :/
However details of the whole setup:
TV: Philips 49PUS7502
OS: Ubuntu 16.04 / Windows 10
Model: MSI GE620DX-457CS
CPU: Intel Core i5 2430M Sandy Bridge
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT555M 2GB
GPU Driver on Ubuntu: NVIDIA binary driver - version 384.130
GPU Driver on Windows: I'm not sure, I have to check when I switch to Win
Some more details:
- No game, it's happening even in menu
- The laptop doesn't flicker, just the TV
- The screen on TV has some black bar on the top, I guess the resolution doesn't match
