Controller Mapping Issue
When running the Steam Link Beta App on both my phone and Nvidia Shield, the App does not recognize R3 properly. I can go through the mapping process keeping everything at default. Then I can test the configuration and I see R3 light when I press it.

But I have been running Spacehulk Deathwing Enhanced Edition and in game on both my Shield and on my phone, when I press R3 it should zoom my sights and nothing happens. On the Shield I am using a Shield controller and on the Phone I am using a Moga Pro. I can quit the game in either instance, start it locally on my PC and using an Xone controller it works normally. I can then quit, go back to streaming, map and test the controller again but R3 still does not respond.

This issue also exists in Vermintide 2 where both R3 and L3 fail to function in game when streaming through the beat app though both work normally when played locally on the host PC and both function when played through the Steam Branch on Nvidia Gamestream.

Just tested a Xbox One controller with my phone and my Shield and R3 and L3 do not work properly. So that is two different types of controllers having this issue. They work fine with the game locally on the PC. And it isn't every game. They work perfect in The Witcher 3. They do not work in Vermintide 2 and Spacehulk Deathwing EE when Streaming to the phone or to the Shield.

Actually I have tried different controllers against the Shield. All of them have problems because Shield/AndroidTV interferes with their automatic controller mappings towards Steam Links own controller code. The only controller I was really able to use with excellent results was the Steam controller. Probably because Android simply neglets the input of the controller because it is not DirectInput conform. I have reverted to use the Shield controller only for the time being until those issues are resolved.

My controllers work normally through the Shield when I am using the Steam App inside Gamestream - which requires Geforce Experience. However lately I have had a major issue with games not running as detailed here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1055884/shield-tv/single-game-will-not-stream/

In addition the games that do run seem to now run horribly - like The Witcher 3 and Vermintide 2.
Using the new Steam App they run incredibly well outside Nvidia's interference. But as you stated, all of the controllers I have tried so far have an issue in most games. If Steam would just get this fixed it would be a boon. I really do not like the idea of having to put a PC in with my 75 UHD.
