Issues with Mouse/Keyboard
Hey!

I'm steam linked via the Samsung app. The streaming itself works fine, if I play games with my Xbox-Controller I don't experience any problems.

However, playing games with mouse and keyboard is a turn off. Both devices are connected to the TV via USB.

Mouse: In certain games (e.g. Kingdom Come) or in big picture mode I have two mouse cursors on screen. One is the ingame cursor, the second seems to be the windows cursor which is following my mouse movements. It is kind of annoying and I did not find any solutions to solve this yet.

Furthermore I'm not able to use the desktop mode because the cursor disappears in certain areas.

Keyboard: This one is really annoying and it does seem to be independent of the game. If I press two or three movement buttons (e.g. a+s, s+d or a+s+d), which is natural in shooter games, the ingame character switches to some kind of auto movement forward. It seems like I'm pressing the w button the whole time, but I'm not. The only way to stop the movement is double press the d or a button, depending on what buttons I pressed before that auto movement.

I hope you are able to understand what I mean, because English isn't my mother's tongue and the problem is kind of specific. ;)

Thanks in advance!

I get the same results here on g613 mouse and keyboard combo in usb/wifi mode and bluetooth mode as well. I also get the same results using a ps4 controller (wired or bluetooth) or a stealserries controller via bluetooth.

i'm running the samsung app with firmware 1220.6 on un55ku7000 model.

I have also the same result here. If I only connect the keyboard or if I dont touch the mouse during the game then the keyboard input works fine. In combination I got the same issue as described before.

Please fix it. Would be very nice to have keyboard and mouse support on the samsung steam link app.

It is very comfortable in combination with my Couchmaster to play from the couch if the app works.

Keyboard and mouse was connected via usb seperately and also with a usb hub. Same result.

Did you ever come across a fix for this?

Latest firmware did not fix the issue.

Thank you

I’ve the same keyboard issue (key keeps sticking) on my Samsung TV (UE55NU7091) when playing with keyboard/mouse. Everything is wired so the issues isnt related to wireless trouble.

It almost seems like the signal of releasing the button is getting lost somewhere in the chain.
Pressing and releasing the “stuck” button fixes the problem immediately .

Probably not related but I’ve noticed it quite a lot while playing Space Engineers.

The issue really comes from samsung tv's lack of support for any sort of input methods. As I mentioned previously, I also see the same behavior on as bluetooth controler and ps4 controller. as far as I understand, this is not a steam link issue but a samsung tv issue. As far as keyboard/mouse usage, it apears that samsung tvs are not designed to recieve input signals from 2 sperate usb ports.

I've accepted my fate and will most likely be investing in a rather long HDMI plus long USB cables or a cheap raspberry pi which could very much double as a steam link running machine.

be weary of long HDMI cables as the signal strength will degrate over long distances and might require rather expensive hardware to counter this.

here's a quick google search result I got for sasberry pie:
https://www.techradar.com/how-to/how-to-turn-a-raspberry-pi-into-a-steam-link

Good luck and if you find something interesting please let me know as I won't be doing the jump for a few months.

Hey everyone, I know I'm a bit late, but I have a solution for this:

TL;DR
Anit-ghosting keyboards (for example: mechanical keyboards)
