Controller not working in game

I'm having issues getting my wired xbox one s wired controller working on my samsung app. I can navigate the big picture menu completely fine but when I launch a game the controller no longer works. I do have xbox config selected in the options.

I cant even get my controller to accept an input at all. It is wired as well. The tv shows that it's connected but wont detect that im pushing buttons. Where do you have yours plugged in at?

Enter big picture mode while in game you are trying to play -> Controller Options -> “Steam Input Per-Game Setting” -> Forced Off

I hope I’m not too late to the discussion but I just spent a ton of time trying to get this to work and eventually found a solution for me which is listed above. Good luck and I hope this works for you! I’m using a Samsung TV for Steam Link as well
