Is the steam link hardware worth getting?

Hi, my tv does not support steam link app anymore. However I also have another monitor.

is it worth grabbing the physical steam link used to use it? How well does it run games? I have something like elden ring and wondering if it'd even be playable.

HDMI cables are cheaper these days but having cables running everywhere is not going to work

you can use a pi 3-4 or an old laptop

if the tv supported the link app at one time, it should still work
