No video with Steam Link (via Onn Devic) and Steam Deck

I previously was using the Steam Link app via my Samsung smart tv, but with them sunsetting support, I switched over to an Onn streaming device.

This worked for a hot minute. I was able to connect my Steam Deck via the Onn app and screen cast wirelessly until recently. I can connect audio, but the screen is black.

I've gone through the pinned posts and tried different settings on the deck, on the link app (Onn) and on the tv and am still not having success.

Can anyone assist? I just want to find a solution so I can wirelessly play my deck on my tv.

try disabling hardware decoding on the link app on the tv

link app -> settings -> streaming -> advanced
or somewhere like that, the apps are all slightly different

also limit the res to 1080p, ifs its a 4k tv
tvs do not have 'gigabit' (1000mb/s) lan port only 'fast' (10/100 mb/s)
steam streaming 4k needs bandwidth than the tvs port can handle

The hardware decoding feature is grayed out in the app. I can turn it off on the deck but it has no effect.

Were you able to solve this? I've been meaning to get the onn 4k box for the same purposes, would you recommend it?
