Will computer/laptop overheat while playing on t.v?
So this device seems pretty cool to me and I plan to buy it if reviews are good. My only question would be if my laptop would overheat while playing on the t.v. My laptop is not really meant for gaming and can constantly overheat when playing games like Rome: Total War 2 or other games that are pretty heavy on graphics. The processor isn't able to handle the new games and everything has to be on low for me. So with the t.v being the monitor basically and the laptop just streaming the game, will it shut down on me if playing Rome on the t.v? I'm not sure if this question has been asked (only went thru first 3 pages) and I cant really find the words to describe my question completely so have mercy please.

Your computer still has to run the game and render, only now it will have to render to either 1080p or 720p AND it has the additional overhead of having to transcode the video to send to your TV. If your computer already overheats and shuts down from just playing games, this will actually tax your system more.
