but eventually all 'smart' tvs apps will get outdated and be obsolete
better off getting a pi or htpc or use an old laptop to stream to the tv
- Hardware Steam Link (if you can find one)
- Build an HTPC and use that (Raspberry Pi, etc.)
- Install the Steam Link app on your phone and connect it to the TV, either with a wired HDMI adapter or by "casting" over your local network
- If you're pretty technical, you can use an HTPC with Moonlight/Sunshine and bypass Steam on the client end altogether (obviously the host will still be running Steam to launch the games, but Steam won't be involved in the network streaming part)
Personally my recommendation would be #2, but it comes down to what's practical for your situation.Looks like I will simply connect to the tv via Steam Deck on a dock and stream through there and if I will be unhappy then I will go with #2. Now I just need to figure out which TV is better for streaming lol
