Discord Echo during Stream
Hi guys, we're playing solo games with a friend in turn and on a same screen with Steam Link. Unfortunately, during our discord call, he's getting an echo of his own voice, and we don't know how to cancel it. We tried disabling some sources of sound with the sound manager of windows, but it actually cut the whole sound, impossible to only cut the echo of discord. Is there settings on steam on my pc or my friend's pc that we have to change ? If someone already got this issue and find a viable solution, it would be greatly appreciable. And we're not using Parsec for this because it's not working well for us, and we do not want to try other app like Sunshine. Thanks for your future help :)

Ok, I find a solution for those in need : First use the streaming with your friend and follow the basic steps to realise it. Next, ask your friend to go in his pc audio setting > audio mixer and disable the sound of the option streaming (connect). Then your friend will have no echo of his own voice but no sound of the game. You have just have to stream the game via discord and your friend will get the audio from the game. And that's all, hope it helps
this is a great workaround! thank you!!

hoping in the future steam link might provide the option to ONLY stream the GAME AUDIO (not the whole computer audio) so that voip via discord/steam/etc doesn't cause an echo for the person viewing the stream
also you're the goat for coming back and providing a workaround you figured out. automatic heaven access
