Black bars top and bottom

I have a triple monitor PC setup, use a 2560x1440 as my main. The Steam Link interface and all games are compresses on my 4k tv, and top and bottom of screen are black bars. frankly the picture that does appear seems far from a 1080p resolution. Yes, I've played with every setting and have configfured resolution within Link to 1080p. I've set my main monitor to a 1920x1080 resoiution, still no help.

What could possibly be going on here? As it is, Steam Link is totally worthless. Don't even get me started on using a PS4 wireless, it is recognized, shows paired but does absolutely nothing.

Any help most appreciated.

Anyone? The main setup screen displays correctly but when moving from there (connecting to PC) the display is flattened, bars and top and bottom and frankly doiesn't look at all 1080p quality.

TV scaler issue?

Hmm this works fine for me.
I have a 2 monitor set up with both running as 1920x1200. The TV is 1920x1080.
Have you tried disconnecting the third monitor?

It seems more a TV scaler issue that is converting a 16:9 resolution to a 16:10 one instead.

Ok, I had been using an HDMI input on my receiver (I pass all HDMI inputs thru this receiver and on to the TV without issue). I found that my issue was resolved by connecting the Steam Link directly to a TV HDMI input, bypassing the receiver. That will be fine, just strange that all other devices, Xbox One, satellite, Blu-ray, etc scale fine thru the receiver, but not the Steam Link.
