USB HUB with 4 xbox 360 controllers
I'm interested in buying steam link, but I would like to use 4 xbox 360 WIRED controllers. Unfortunately, it only has 3 usb ports (wtf?), I wonder how usb hubs behaves on this.

It's very important for me since I'll be using it for party games only, so it's completely useless if I can't use 4 controllers.

Unfortunately, not all usb hubs are linux-compatible (some are really of terrible quality), mine seems good, but who knows :(

Some games just work with one controller, but they will hopefully fix it soon

Make sure to use a powered USB hub:

Valve rep @henryg mentioned that:

"Any powered USB 2.0-compatible hub will work. Unpowered hubs may or may not work, depending on the total power consumption of the devices you plug in."

For anyone looking for a USB hub to connect multiple devices to the Steam Link, I ordered the "AmazonBasics 7 Port USB 2.0 Hub with 5V/4A Power Adapter" and was able to run 4 wired xbox 360 controllers, a wireless keyboard receiver, and a wireless mouse receiver from my Steam Link. I was previously unable to connect these devices with an unpowered hub.
