Launching Kodi on Steam Link - d-pad not working

Hi

I am trying to stream my Kodi from my main PC to Steam Link
I have added non-Steam shortcut and it launces nicely. Thing is that my d-pad commands od xbox360 controller are not passed on to Kodi. triggers and face buttons work as intended. anyone had this already? :(

I have the same problem, using a Logitech F710.
I cant map any keys and have them working in Kodi, I just can change the volume with the right stick.

i has to do something with styeam streaming itself. and funny thing is, that inputs are coming to kodi, but it does not react to them...

Make sure in Kodi you have the option to use a gamepad checked. What works for me is if i launch Kodi through desktop mode not through big picture mode. For some reason when i launch through big picture my steam controller doesnt work at all. When i launch through desktop mode it works perfectly

I had to connect a keyboard to use Kodi.

Use plex instead. Been using it for weeks now and it's perfect. Just add plex home theater as a non steam game. All buttons on 360 and ps4 controllers work as they should

i really dislike plex. idea of having to run server for my streaming rubs me the wrong way :(

Thanks dannyhefc69!! I tested plex and it works perfectly! Only one "problem", how can I sort films by folder in the home theatre program? I can do it on the web side, but not in the media center program.

No problem happy to help. And you do all your folder making and organising on the plex server. However they look in your plex server on your pc is how they look in plex home theater. I have mine in folders by genre, comedy, horror, tv shows ect

Minimise big picture mode from the power menu. Start Kodi from your destop!

yep thats the only way i found that works -- the controller will go into desktop mouse emulating mode hence the d-pad is working as the arrow keys. That seems to be the only way to have proper controles in kodi as of today
