Low fps on Assassin's Creed Syndicate
My Steam link works well on other games, keeping 60 fps. But on the ACS there is only 30 fps and too lag to play.
It's still working normally with 60fps in menu, but when you finish loading and into the game, the fps reduce to 20-30 and get terribly stuck&lag, the stat show "slow network", 145ms display latency ,more than 70% frame loss
Hope this issue can be fixed soon

I get this as well. I also have the same issue with Assassins Creed Unity.

There is a bit of a workaround that works for Unity. It may work for Syndicate, but I haven't tried it myself.

I originally found this fix on the Nvidia forums.

After starting the game, open the Task Manager on your PC and select the Details tab. Find the EXE for the game. Right-click on it and choose Set Affinity... In the next dialog uncheck one of the CPU cores, choose OK, and go back into the game. This reduces the games performance a bit, but it gets rid of the stutter, at least in Unity.

You can also try setting the priority from High to Normal. I've had some success with that as well.

Wow !!! It really works!!!
The frame rate reduced but no more stutter !!
At least I can play ACS through my TV now, hope Valve can fix this issue soon.

Thank you very much !!!

I can confirm this works on Unity. I've used Process Lasso to make sure ACU runs on only 3 of 4 cores and set the priority level to above normal in stead of high. The game still only runs around 45 fps, no matter what graphic settings used, but now at least it is playable.

Hi, just to highlight that after 3 yrs I have the same problem with Assassin's Creed Unity...did anyone figure it out in the end?

PS. I tried both using the Uplay and Steam versions but the issue was the same...the game working fine through PC and unplayable with Steamlink with super-low FPS and continuous connection problems (see "bad connection" icon in the lower right part of the screen).

Thanks!!!
