Warning. Enable flow control to avoid packet loss when wired.
I had some packet loss when my Ethernet card was configured at gigabit but not when I configured it at 100mbits, this was a problem when I was streaming at beatiful since it rise latency and drop frames.

After a lot research, I find that my managed switch TP-LINK TL-SG108E had flow control disabled by default.

So check flow control. Enable it on all ports related, also ensure your nic have it enabled.

Now I don't have any packet loss.

I think this is related to 100 nic on steam link.

Be warning.

Flow control indeed makes streaming buttery smooth. I had problems streaming to a wired iPad using a fast Ethernet adapter (lightning port), and now gaming is bliss. This tip is gold for anyone having problems maintaining consistency in their wired Steamlink experience.

thats how flow control works
else 2 deices sending data to a switch or router/hub at the same time will get packet collisions and drop packets since they do not wait for each other to finish before sending the next packet

it should be enabled by default, never a reason to disable it
