Closing laptop lid stops video streaming to Steam Link in Big Picture Mode UI

There is one issue that stops Steam Link from being perfect.

I have an Alienware 13 running Windows 10 and when I close the lid in order to just stream via the Steam Link, Big Picture Mode stops updating the video feed: the picture just "freezes" at the point the lid was closed (note: BPM is still running - I can hear the interface audio tones and opening the lid on my laptop will resume the video feed).

At first I thought this was a hardware, OS or driver issue with the laptop, but I am now certain that it is an issue with Big Picture Mode itself because desktop mode is not affected by closing the lid in this way.

Also, it is streaming fine with the lid closed if a game is already running (and pressing the Steam Button still works, the UI overlay displays and allows me to change the Controller Config with the lid closed - but if I exit the game it is the last thing I will see until I open the laptop lid).

I am not 100% certain, but I think this behaviour might be linked to the latest Steam Link firmware update(s).

Either way, this is *very* frustrating as keeping the lid closed and the screen dark should save battery power and I wanted to keep the laptop closed and out of the way whilst Steam Linking.

Are you using WiFi?, Closing the lid can block WiFi on some laptops as it's integrated into the screen bezel. If you can connect your laptop directly to your network, streaming over WiFi is (at least for me) an awful experience.
