epsxe: I'm not even getting controller inputs. If you are, and are still getting b as escape, then let me know and I'll send you my autohotkey script that stopped escape from working when espxe is open. If I was an autohotkey god I'd probably be able to make the controller work even though it's not talking directly to steam as it seems to be an active window bug. That said, latency would suffer.
PCSX2: go to C:\Users\yourUserNameHere\Documents\PCSX2\inis\PCSX2_keys.ini and alter the hotkey so it's no longer escape
Dolphin: open dolphin and go to Options>hotkey settings and change the hotkey so it's no longer escape.
Again, these aren't perfect fixes, but it got things somewhat playable.
Make sure you have some other input device on the Link so you can navigate menus and such though.
Set up controls from your main PC first. (Or use MK via the steam link).
Graphics settings: Render to main window.
Step 1: Move your steam link to the beta firmware. On your link go to settings, and I think it's under system where the option is.
Step 2: on your PC go to virtualhere.com and download the client software: https://www.virtualhere.com/usb_client_software
Step 3: open the software, open USB hubs and open Steam link (if it's not there make sure it's switched on and connected to the network). Then click on the gold star, in my case "USB xbox 360 reciever".
Step 4: install the driver software it offers
Step 5: click the gold star again and it connects it to your network. Go play games!
Taurias - I've never tried it - if it works by usb (with this? http://www.mayflash.com/Products/NINTENDOWiiU/W009.html ) I think it should. With bluetooth (if that's even possible) I don't think so but I'm really not sure. Either way, you're likely one of the first few people to try so give it a go and let us know what happens! :)
Like I said this was for the steam controller so not 100% sure you will get the same result from xbox Ds4 etc.
One last thing to remember is I had to manually set up the input binds in dolphin with the controller connected directly to my Pc, thankfully this is only a one off and works great after that.
thanks fot you time
