Steam link and project 64
I love the idea of using steam link to play old emulated nintendo games on the tv. I've tried snes9x and that works perfectly, but when I try to use project64 for my n64 games it won't recognize that I have controllers plugged in. I'm using logitech dual action controllers. I tried with the steam controller but it seems to have issues even without using steam link. Has anyone gotten their steam link to work with project 64? Or know of any other n64 emulators that work better? I have to assume it's possible if it worked for the super nintendo games.

"[Project64]
location=C:\Users\Matt\Desktop\n64\Project64.exe
command=%l %r"

Try out LaunchBox! It's super easy to use and can be easily integrated with controllers and all kinds of emulators! (And it plays nice with steam :D: )

Well I got it working but again same problem for project 64. Supposedly it is something to do with direct input vs. xinput or something. I looked it up in the forums for launch box and he says he's working on making it compatible... so I guess I'll have to wait a bit. SNES games will suffice for now I guess... or i might just buy an hdmi cord soon and try to just do it directly from my laptop to tv if it takes too long.

I've been using retroarch and it works pretty well out of the box with xinput.

Retroarch is a collection of emulators all under the same interface. All you have to do is install it and add it as a non-steam game.
