Steam link - Replacement power cable
Hey, Looks like the wifes new cat managed to bite through my steam link power cable before I even got to test it out. Since I live in Australia and imported it... I don't really have a local seller to enquire too.

Is it possible to replace the power cable with a generic one? Or is it a propitiatory connection?

Thanks

Ended up picking up a generic and trying it out after posting this. Working fine for now. Thanks

Did you buy the generic cable online? If so can you please send a link to where you found it? I have the same issue but I can't find a matching one!
Thanks

You can use AC-DC adapter or USB cable with terminal ends of 4.0 x 1.7 mm barrel plug.

One of those USB to PSP DC cable will do the trick. If you do use such cables make sure the source can supply current of 2A (USB 2.0 port can only do up to 0.5A).

Rahga and trumpet are both right. 5 volt with a minimum of 2 amp power. Lots of standard supplies for phones etc run between .5a and 1a, try not to use them as they will give you nothing but grief and run the serious risk of simply burning out.
With ampage you can always go higher but never lower.
