Where to enter steam link pin code on PC?

I've got steam and my pc both connected to my internet, steam is running in big picture mode, the steam link recognizes my PC and then gives me a pin to enter to confirm the connection. I can not for the life of me find where to enter this pin on my host PC. Anyone know? Am I missing something?

Should be in steam, sometimes have to minimize steam big picture
to see it.

Is it a pop up like a chat window would be? (In a separate window) Or is it actually on the steam interface, like a game unlock code would be?

I haven't seen either, but I'm hoping that I'm somehow overlooking it.

It's a popup window inside steam, have you tried connecting while steam is not in big picture mode? Or you could try to restart steam, If that doesn't work I have no idea, sorry.

Power off Steam Link.
On main PC, restart Steam Client and don't enter BigPictureMode yet after it starts.
Then power Steam Link back on and login to same account as main PC is on.

Start steam and leave it on the library screen. Then connect from the Link.

A small window will pop up asking for the 4/5 digit code.

Now it can't even find my PC. I've tried wireless and Ethernet. Bad-Motha you said "login to same account as main PC" do you meant actually enter my steam account info? Because there isn't a place in the steam link menus to do that

This is in an apartment with shared Internet across the complex. So I don't have an actual router in my apartment, just Ethernet ports built into the wall like a regular outlet would be. Do you think this is my issue? Like I said I've tried all combinations of wired and wireless connections

Windows defender. I disabled this and it worked with popup for pin. Hope this helps

scroll to upper left click on steam go to settings then from their go to in-home streaming click on it scroll over to set steam pin code. your welcome

thats to create a pin to beign streaming, not pair the link to the host pc

it worked for me from the sound of it ppl dident know how the get pass the steam link pin stage Or Just Out Right Forgot Thier Steam Link Pin i know i did thats why i came to this discussion board i was trying to get help for myself end up figuering it out myself then put it out thier for others. But Ok Mister Anonymoous

This Is The Original Post And Dellema Peopole Were having My Solution Resolves This Issue. if your here for another reason regarding a Pin for somthing other then the steam Link Look else were or hope to god someone here know what your talking about

I had the same problem. When you get to the steam link page where it asks you to choose your computer, instead of selecting your computer click "add new computer" and then "search for device" (or something similar) then select that one. For example I named my computer as "SpiderBeard" and when this showed up I kept selecting it and I wouldn't get the code, then I tried "add new computer" "search for devices" and something like "DesktopQ90015" turned up, selected that and it worked.
