performance on smart tv input lag, "feels slow"
So I've got a quick question about the performance of the Steam Link app on a BenQ smart tv.

I tried playing a few games on the TV using the Steamlink app on my Android BenQ 4K Tv. I'm using a wired connection and get a very stable throughput with no dropped packets until 100 Mbps. That being said, I've capped it at 50 (which seems to be provide the most stability).

I played Hellpoint recently, but I noticed there is a significant amount of apparent input lag. Everything feels a bit slower. The game plays at 100 fps on my PC at 1080P. I figured it's the TV causing this, but then I remember the TV isn't actually processing anything, its my desktop doing all the work.

I have an Nvidia Shield TV (2017 edition), but I shelved it because Steam Link is now available on Android, which means I don't really the Shield TV or Gamestream.
But I am wondering, are my performance conditions normal, or is it related to the processing power of the TV?

Any feedback is appreciated.

check the tvs settings, turn on game mode or turn off all image enhancements

i have game mode already on. I just checked the settings, but I can't find any other image enhancing features. Anything in particular I'm looking for? I only see HDR being unabled.

I looked around for any of these features but couldn't find any. The any feature I image is relevant to these, was one called "DI Film Mode". But that option was greyed out (as Game Mode was already on).

Maybe that's just how it plays on TV then, I;m not sure. My monitor is 120 Hz though, so it;s possible I'm just readjusting to a lower framerate. In any case, Hellpoint feels very much "smoothed out".

plug a usb mouse into the link

when streaming the mouse cursor uses hardware overlay on the link
but the rest of the window contents are streamed
you can see the mouse move different from a window dragged (about 1-2 frames behind the host)

slight misunderstanding there. I don't actually have the Steam Link hardware, I;m using the Android app on my TV.
