Steam Link issue

At random times my Steam Link will start on my TV while viewing a different signal source. IOW...I'll be viewing my Android box and suddenly the Steam Link will open to the screen showing the screen to allow keyboard/mouse vs wifi adapter selection.

I'll then sue my Steam controller and select the adapter then start Big screen so I can shut off the Steam Link box. Then this will repeat after going back to another video source.

This randomly happens and intermittent.

sounds like the host pc is not turning off the link app

try stop streaming, then exit the steam app
or use the android menu and force stop the link app

Not using a Steam app on the Android box.

If I select 'Turn off Steam Link' in Big picture menu using Steam controller (Steam client running on PC). It will turn off the Steam Link then shortly thereafter it comes back on with the screen asking to select keyboard/mouse or wifi adapter.

I have my Steam Link connected to a network switch near TV. I also have an HDMI switch so I can switch between sources such as Steam link, Blue Ray player, XBox One, Android TV box.

are any other usb devices plugged into the link?
they may be waking it

what controller are you using?
the link turns off bt controller when it goes to sleep

or is it a usb k/m
mouse movement will wake the link or any other k/m input

what i found works, is turn off the wireless mouse immediately after turning off the link
else it wakes right away

The only USB I have plugged into the Steam link is the USB dongle for the Steam controller I use.

you can disable cec on the link, then it wont send the hdmi signal to the tv to change input
