Dualshock 4 audio jack

I have my controller paired with the steamlink, but I can't seem to get audio to route through the headphone jack on the controller. Is that possible, or do I need to use a Bluetooth headset instead?

Once you're connected to your PC you need to change the audio device to Headphones Wireless Controller.

IIRC you can only do that if you conntect the controller with a usb cable, whereupon itll show up as a standard usb audio device. sony were doing something custom to get wireless audio on hte ps4 so it wont work on anything else

Would an xbox one controller work better? Have one of those for the pc, could move it to the Link.

you need to use the link menu to select the output device (before connecting to host pc)

iirc it works with ds4/xbone controllers, and bt headsets

From the settings before I connect, the options are: Automatic, HDMI, and External USB/Bluetooth. I've tried both the first and last with a DS4 and a XBOne controller and the headphone port never works. I'm on build 883, which shows as the most recent when I check for updates. There are no beta builds available, either.

Any other suggestions? I've been using a Bluetooth headset but it's not ideal.

I picked up a long USB cable and I've tried with multiple controllers, Dualshock 4 and Xbox One. I get no audio via either. Switched to beta build 887, no change. Feel like I'm missing something.
