Playing Epic Games Launcher games over Steam Link, like Chivalry 2

Hi. I'm trying to play Chivalry 2 on my TV using Steam Link. As you may know, Chivalry 2 is on the Epic Games Store (EGS) only for now. If i make the game Executable a shortcut I can launch from Steam, it doesn't fully launch because it isn't connected to the EGS network if it isn't launched from their client.

So, the other thing I tried is, if you alt+tab while steam link is streaming to the box (I'm using a Linux install on Raspberry Pi for my Steam Link), you can access your PC normally from the TV screen. From there, I can launch Chivalry 2 from the EGS client, but it doesn't recognize my controller connected to the Raspberry Pi, as the game isn't running from Steam.

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or tips to make this work? I think my final solution would be to run a super long controller cable from my PC all the way to my couch/TV so that I can control the game with the controller that way while viewing it all on my TV, but hopefully there's a better way.

You tried to create a shortcut to the whole epic launcher and then launch the game from there?

Ah no, let me clarify.

I added Chivalry 2 to the Steam menu by adding the game's .exe as a "non-Steam game".

The I tried alt+tabbing in the SteamLink streaming thing to get to my desktop and launch Chivalry 2 through EGS launcher from there.

I have NOT tried adding the EGS store launcher as a Steam shortcut. Maybe I'll try.

Give it a try, i just tried now with my steam link (original hardware one), the epic launcher was showed fine, launched Borderlands 3 ( is the only game i have installed there), and work flawless too. The only "issue" is i use a xbox 360 controller in the steam link and i cant control epic launcher with it, so i need to use the mouse plugged into the main pc to launch the game into epic store, after the game was launched everything was fine with the controller.

I launch all Epic games without issues, just do this:

Add game exe as a non steam game, then right click on the newly created game shortcut inside steam library then properties and in launch parameters put this

So, when I launch the epic launcher through Steam on Steamlink, the launcher just shows a black screen on my TV. I can walk over to my computer and see that the Epic Games launcher is showing. I've tried it in a smaller window and as a fullscreenwindow, and it just shows black on my TV.

This doesn't work for me specifically with Chivalry 2, it tells me it's missing auth parameters or something like that.
