Steam Link as HDMI extender
Is it possible to use Steam Link as a receiver for HDMI to show sound and video on TV without gaming on it directly but doing the gaming on the PC. Sort of screencast to TV.

I have a good racing rig in another room and a couple of friends and I have evenings when we take turns racing and trying to beat each others lap times. The problem I have is that the room where the gaming rig is placed is so small so we don't fit in there at the same time. I would like to play on the PC but stream the game (over IP) to another room and there show it on a big screen TV where the others can watch the race and sit comfortably while eating snacks and drinking beer.

Is this possible with Steam Link?

Chromcast + Twitch would be a better solution... as the steam link is a caster you can start a stream but play at the pc but theSteam link will send the audio to the Tv not the pc.
