New Power Supply
Is there *anywhere* where we can purchase an additional Power Adapter for the Steam Link? Our cat has chewed through our original one, and I'm looking to hopefully keep the same thing. I'd love to just order it through steam, than try to match up the right items.

Much appreciated for any advice!

@reneg you may Have to repurchase the steam link in order to get a new AC Adapter As Valve specially makes those Due to the Correct Voltage and Amperage for the Steam Link to Work correctly or otherwise the wrong voltage and Amperage will Damage it the Steam Link i have requires 5.1 V 2 Amps i Air on the side of caution to be careful in using third party AC Adapters wit the Steam link As long it is at the correct voltage and Amperage

While I get what you're saying, that's absolutely insane. There has to be some way to purchase an additional power adapter without buying another $50 Steam Link.

I completely agree, I *want* to give Valve my money for an official replacement, but I don't want to pay $50 for a second steam link when all I need is the power cord.

Does anyone know any additional way to get in touch with Valve to see what possibilities there are? I'm finding literally nothing on this front, anywhere.

Google or Amazon the adpater specifications. You can probably find one that matches the specs.

That's what I've been doing, unfortunately, it doesn't seem like anything really matches the 5.1v=2.5A that I'm looking for (based off the Power Supply), or it's just ONE result from a company with really crappy reviews.

I'm just disappointed & frustrated that there doesn't seem to be any option at all to replace this one (relatively cheap) component.

For reference: it's a 5.1v 2.5A power supply.

You could try modifying one with a soldering kit, probably your last resort obviously. Might as well buy a second steam link at that rate.

Replacement parts/accessories for Steam Hardware are not currently sold as individual units. If your power supply, or any other Steam Hardware peripheral, has been lost or damaged please contact Steam Support to discuss replacement options.

You can open a ticket at https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php

As the other poster said, basically all the support links do is route me back to here. There's no way for me to actually submit a support ticket.

Apologies for the confusion. There's an issue with our ticket submission and we're working on a fix.

You can still submit a ticket using the link, however, you'll want to search for "Steam Link" in the product box and it should work from there.

1. Go here: https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php
2. Select Steam Hardware
3. Select Steam Link - Missing/Damaged Parts
4. Type in "Steam Link" and click on the Steam Link product
5. Follow the ticket instructions under Step 2

Let us know if you run into any issues. Thanks!

I would like to know if there is any possible way to get the AC power supply for the steam link. Any progress? I heard that this might work, but I cannot confirm or recommend as a solution, as I have not tried it. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Power-Outlet-Adapter-Charger/dp/B000P0U6ZY
The Steamlink power supply is 2.5 amps whereas the above link leads to only 2.0 amps. Could cause trouble.

Yes this can cause issues as 2.5 AMPS is the recommended amperage for it 2 amps may be too low for it

Right, well if there are no alternatives, then we could only hope for the best and that it will run off of 2 amps. I would really like a replacement part, and would be happy to pay for it.

I went through with these steps, and they actually sent me another power supply free of charge:

So i would definitely give that a shot, before purchasing a small adapter that may or may not ruin your steamlink.
