Steam Link

Steam Link stuck on "Authorize Device"
I'm trying out Steam Link for the first time. My PC is a beast and has a wired connection to the router. My mobile device is an iPad with Steam Link (and the separate Steam app) installed. My iPad is connected to the same router via wireless (5ghz connection) and has a strong connection.

Issue:
1) When I run Steam Link on my iPad, it can't detect any PCs on my local network when I scan and tells me to "...please use the 'Other Computer' button to pair with your computer."
2) When I use the 'Other Computer' option, Steam Link gives me a four-digit code to use on my PC.
3) I go to Steam settings on my PC, open the Remote Play option, click on Pair Steam Link, and enter in the four-digit code from my iPad.
4) Another prompt appears on my PC, this one asking me to "Enter the authorization code showing on Steam Link to allow it to connect and play games."
5) No matter what code I enter, or how many times, Steam on my PC keeps giving me that prompt to "enter the authorization code".

The tablet and the PC just don't see each other. I've checked network settings both on my PC and on my router and nothing seems relevant.

Any ideas? :-/

there are 2 pin codes

the pairing code, which it looks like you did corretly

in connect, there is another pin
steam -> settings -> remote play -> [set security code]
set and enter this on the remote device to begin streaming

Thanks, I set a security code, but nothing's changed. The exact same things are occurring as described prior. When I get the permanent-popup prompt asking me to "enter the authorization code" I can enter either the security code I set or the pairing code, but I get the same result both times. Just another popup prompt asking me to enter the authorization code.

BTW, just to be clear, when you say "...enter this on the remote device to begin streaming" what do you mean? There's nowhere to enter any code on my device, only on my PC.

if the link app gives the code
on host, steam -> settings -> remote play -> [pair steam link]

if the link app is asking for a code
enter the pin you set on host

sometimes un-pairing all from host fixes things, or resetting link app or removing devices from link app (reinstall app on mobile)

Unfortunately, neither of those options works for me. I guess I'll have to go the "official" customer service route with this (whatever that may be). Sigh...
Having the same sort of issue. No resolution so far either.
Stuck on Authorize device popup no matter if pin was removed, remade to 1111 and then entering 1111. Authorize device pops up each time.

If you find an answer, please let me know. I've tried using Steam on both a Windows 10 and Windows 11 PC. No go. I'm beginning to think Steam Link simply doesn't work on iOS devices, period.
