The problem appears since a steam client update at 8. march.
The Jabo plugins worked great before.
I've also created a support ticket, but after some tests with reinstalling drivers and steam they wrote with friendly words, that they don't care about this issue...
I couldn't find a solution yet.
8. MÄRZ - HENRYG
A new update for the Beta client has been released with the following changes:
UPDATE: This client was re-released later in the day with additional fixes.
General
Fixed some rare crashes related to sorting music playlists, game libraries, and other list or grid views
Windows
Fixed some older D3D7- and D3D8-based games which crashed on startup under the previous Steam Client
Steam Controller
Fixed a crash that could occur when editing controller bindings
There are 2 or 3 available, but they lack at compatibility and configuration possibilities.
The best graphic plugins are:
- Glide64 Final (OpenGL)
- GlideN64 (OpenGL)
- Jabo D3D8 (version 1.5.2 and greater)
The Jabo plugins are the best for performance at very high graphic settings with a good compatibility.
The Glide plugins are compatible with few more games like resident evil 2, but they need much more power. Even a high end gaming pc can't handle this plugins with the highest settings at all games.
If I remember right, then you just need for the StarWars games a different plugin. (glN64???)
