Steam Link

Steam Link

Video Streaming?
I love the idea of streaming games onto my TV to play them.

I also love the idea of streaming movies, videos, etc. onto my tv. Is it possible, or will there ever be a feature that will allow Steam Link to stream videos onto tvs? For example, videos from Netflix, Cravetv, etc.?

I know that using another devices, such as a PS4, or Appletv, or whatever might be more suitable.

Streaming video works fine. Very good for streaming online video, that is only supported on PC (Maxdome, Amazone, Netflix, etc.) to your TV. Specially because my prefered solution, a Raspi with Kodi Mediacenter, does not support OnlineVideo. (Better to say, the online video does not support Kodi)

That is very good to know. I haven't bought a Steamlink yet, but now I know video streaming is possible, I will purchase it.

Just make sure that you minimize Big Picture and not exit Big Picture. For some reason when you exit Big Picture, any time your mouse cursor is not over Steam you will drop a ton of frames. Minimizing does not have this effect however.
