Streaming Amazon Video - No picture, still sound, Any solution?
Hey folks,

been searching the Community Hub for a solution but couldn't find a proper answer on this issue:

When streaming my dektop and watching movies over Amazon Video I can hear the sound but there's no picture, only black screen on the TV. The picture works fine on the desktop monitor.

Tried this with Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge.
Also, I tried to add the browser as non-Steam game, but had no success.

I've read somewhere that this might be a codec or copyright issue, not sure though...

Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Something to do with DRM protection. I am not sure if there is a definitive workaround as it was discussed in another thread without any real outcome. You could try using kodi along with an Amazon plug in. There are a couple out there but I am not able to source them ATM.

Thanks for your answer so far!
I'm gonna try kodi tomorrow. But even if this works, is this the only way to get the stream work properly? Looks very impractical to me....

Not sure If it's the only option, I toyed with setting it up a few weeks ago but we picked up a fire stick in the sale the next day before I had it fully set up. As for kodi, I use it to stream media to my link without any problems, might I suggest Googling 'kodi pulse build' which will lead you to an excellent pre-built setup for streaming all sorts of media.
