Volume control fix it please!

Ok so ussually when playing on my PC I use headphones. My volume settings are all messy as most games I play volume is turned down in the windows volume mixer so I can still hear my buddies on teamspeak. Second to that I ussually play with volume control only half way up as thats loud enough for me.

Now I got a steamlink in my bedroom a floor down as sometimes I like to play a game or 2 right before going to sleep. The problem is im all comfy in my bed booting up my favorite steamlink game only to find out I forgot to turn up all the volume sliders in windows mixer before heading to bed. Result? Waay to low sound and I have to crank my tv sound all the way up to hear anything. Which is nice specially when u switch to another input in the middle of the night xD

Is it not possible to have steamlink ignore your windows volume mixer settings and always output at maximum volume?? Or atleast have some kind of volume sliders in steam big picture..

Other then that I must say steamlink works amazingly well. Got everything wired on 1gbs lan using cat6 and a cisco managed switch and it all plays super smooth. But yeah I got to admit im coming from a network engineer background, can inmagine that the expirience for people with little to no network knowledge can be a bit different.

Check your audio setting on the link are not set to 5.1, set it to stereo see if that helps.

Hey thanks for the the tip, but i'm not having a problem with not getting it to work. It works fine when i adjust everything accordingly.

The problem is that everytime i switch back and forward from PC gaming to Steam Link gaming I have to manually adjust all my volume sliders, which is really annoying, specially doing this every single day. I just wished steamlink would ignore my windows volume settings and output at maximum volume or atleast a volume reset button in big picture mode, so I dont have to adjust my settings every single time i switch from PC to Steam Link.
