Steam Link BETA Can't connect to pc on port 0
Error message is like title. Streaming wired pc connection to wireless phone samsung s8. Works fine on wifi. Is the problem PC side or phone side?

Tried port forwarding and no luck so far. With firewall on and off. It recognizes the computer over a cellular network but when I try to connect it it give the "Couldn't connect to PC on port 0."

Is there a way around this. Since I use a pre-paid phone plan I can totally believe its the cell network.

The computer isn't on wifi and the phone is on Cellular data.

host pc doesnt need to be on wifi
there are vpn apps for phones

OK Ill try a phone VPN. In other news if the phone is on WIFI it actually does work. It just doesn't work over cellular data.

I found out that ATT and Cricket phones do not work for whatever reason. Will use VPN and get back to you guys

This is weird but I went a town over and it worked over cellular over there for some reason.

I got this problem too and a VPN didn't help. If there's any sort of solution I'd be glad to hear it.

Maybe because you can connect only to a local network pc? That's what volvo says on the steam link page

I GOT IT WORKING

as stupid as it is, i tried everything to get this to work.

in the end i got this to work by disabling Windows Defender.

also 800MB of data in 10 minutes. JESUSUSUS lol.

800MB in 10 minutes works out to about 10Mbps on average. Using the Steam Link could realistically triple that amount of usage if you have the quality turned up on a game with a lot of motion.

streaming uses lots of data

best to use it on wifi or wired connection, not cell network
