Steam link to twitch, streaming from pc
is it possible to stream to twitch from the link? i want to play on my couch on my nice 55" in. television. and i was curious if i could stream to my tv and link the link to OBS. or have OBS pick up on the link from the network from my other computer. the point being is, i would like to stream and play from my television with OBS.

i wanted my other computer to connect to the router i will be using that the link will connect to either wirelessly or wired, either way its a dual band router 2.4ghz; 5ghz router. also, seeing as my connection to the modem/router is only 2.4ghz i can only recieve 500mbs connect transfer. in and out im not sure, it may or may not be 100/100. the computer i will be connecting to the link is on a dual band wireless card. 1.3gbs card. i will be connected at 5ghz, so that leaves me with a rate of 100/100@500mbs over the transfer from the router to the modem and 1.3gb band over rate @ rate 1.3gbs from computer to router. so what im getting at is, seeing as my comp the link and the router will all share the same band, and the modem is on another band, can i access the link from another computer running OBS and stream to Twitch from it while i play on this comp?

if this option isnt supported yet, i think valve? should get on an option that replaces el gato as a buck card from comp to comp. no one wants to loose frame rate and utilize more cpu cycles to stream. a numerous amount of streamers are doing this Elgato from pc/connect connect to pc stream out, each of the the streamers are reporting higher frame rates than i would have recieved via NOT utilizing elgato. is it possible to connect an elgato to the link to stream? is it possible to connect a portable elgato to the link. i have 4 pcs, 2 amd 1 9370 32gb ddr3 1 8350 16gb ddr3 1 i7 6700k 32gb ddr4 and the other is just a intel (not sure ofthe type) 2.0ghz ddr2 800, which is more than sufficient from streaming.

I don't believe you can stream the Link's output through native Steam Link software, but you could use any device that captures and streams HDMI the same way you could capture an Xbox or Playstation or Wii U.

Not that I know of, although you could always run that on your PC at the same time, AFAIK.

that makes sence, the point wasno to create the lag that obs creates in buffer cycle and cpu cycle, then ram and on page, page buffering, and graphics page, page buffering. you lose like 10fps if you utilize obs on the computer you play from.

replying to old thread here but I will be trying to use OBS on PC and dealing with the loss of about 10fps. There is a better way though but it requires purchasing a camera that connects via USB to the PC for streaming purposes. I'm about to purchase a Razer Kiyo. This might do what needs done.
