Steam Link

Steam Link

PC Equipped with Voicemeeter Potato but no sound on TV
So I got an nvidia shield pro and tried to setup steam link. I hear sound in the steam link app itself (Browsing the game library) but once I launch a game everything is silent. Windows still says it is outputting to steam speakers though.

Here is my set up in Voicemeeter and Windows https://imgur.com/a/YZSUR3N

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Which game? Some games have their own audio device setting which doesn't always follow what the windows default is set to. I know I had to manually change the audio output device in Horizon: Zero Dawn when switching back and forth between Steam Link and desktop.

Currently no games work. I've tried Monster Hunter, Rocket League, L4D2, and even pulled out Bejeweled but no sound.

UPDATE: So I learned that all my sound while using steam link is being picked up by any program using VAIO 3. I opened up app and volume preferences on Windows, selected Monster Hunter and got sound onto my TV. My gripe with this now is that I have to manually do this for every game and undo it if I wish to get the sound back on my desktop with Voicemeeter VAIO. Also unchecking the hardware inputs does not disable sound at all. Only selecting mute or moving the slider on the games bar in Voicemeeter itself. When I launch Steam link everything that is suppose to make sense in Voicemeeter just gets thrown out the window and it is frustrating. If I can figure out why only VAIO 3 is working with steam speakers I can get closer to finding a proper solution that doesn't require me to be on my desktop all the time to set it up.

I'm not familiar with Voicemeeter, but it kind of sounds like Steam and Voicemeeter are just stepping on each other's feet when it comes to where audio is being routed. Steam works simply by changing the default audio device to the streaming speakers when connected, then back to whatever it was previously when it's done. Does Voicemeeter try to prevent audio device changes to enforce whatever setup has been made by the user?

From my understanding it has not. Steam even changes the default Audio device when Steam link is enabled. Sadly changing it back to Voicemeeter did not work either.

Do you have an update picture of your Voicemeeter and Sound Control Panel? Trying to get this set VM and Steam Link and having issues.
