Xbox 360 Fight Stick not detected

I can't use my fightstick for tekken, when it is plugged into my steam link.

When I turn on my steam link, and before I choose which pc to stream from, I go to the controller menu. From there, I can see both my madcatz stick, and my steam controller.

When I start streaming from my pc, I cannot detect the madcatz controller, nor is it on the list of detected controllers.

When I plug my fight stick into the steam link, it shows the top left quadrant (it is an xbox stick) showing that it is the first controller. When I plug it into my pc, it shows up as the second controller.

I can take a guesses why this is not working the way I intend.

1. Since the steam link is streaming from my PC, anything plugged into the Steam Link doesn't isn't part of devices connected to the PC, ergo not detected.

2. Since the Steam Controller is what I use to turn on the steam link, it occupies controller spot 1, i.e. the same controller spot the xbox fight stick takes up.

I've tried restarted the steam link using the steam controller, while the fight stick is plugged into the steam link, but it did not solve it.

Any solutions?
