[Simple Tutorial] Fix Google Chrome + 60 FPS on Steam Link
Aight, plenty of people use the steam link to also view videos onto their TV by using YouTube and any other service that requires a browser.

But usually when you add a browser as a non steam and start it, it will usually flash and then stay black on the steam-link end while the main PC is still functioning like it should.

whether you enable or disable hardware encoding through steam the end result is the same.

So enough spouting crap

===========

1) Open google chrome
2) Open the settings, scroll down and click "Advanced"
3) Scroll all the way down to the category "System"
4) Uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available"
5) Close Chrome

Steam Time!

1) Add Chrome as a non-steam game
2) Start steam-link
3) Start Chrome from big picture (From desktop mode is also fine but big picture seems a bit more accessible at times for it popping on up in the recent used programs)

Done!

===========

A couple of issues and notes:

-fullscreen mode (F11) in chrome is a must or you will have mouse positional issues
(Buttons highlight but your mouse isn't hovering over it)

-Tabs are not visible but you can switch between them using CTRL + PGUP & CTRL + PGDN
Tab extensions make chrome go black again on steam-link's end
CTRL + W Closes the tab you are currently viewing.
Closing the last tab closes the "game"

- PC's with a 4K screen do not work well with hardware acceleration off, slow downs occur if the CPU isn't up to scratch. Lower the resolution on the PC as well to 1920x1080 to fix that

- Pc's with more than 1 screen will also have a effect on it. I personally just unplug the monitor for the time being.

- Have not tested with other browsers, as I'm not aware if other browsers can toggle HW Acceleration on/off

===========

So that's it! Your mileage may vary but this is one of the options that for me is easy to reproduce and is consistent.

One more word of advice, to avoid going into the settings the whole time, use chrome for steamlink and use another browser when you are actually at the pc.

If you don't mind setting these once every while then there's no worry :)
