Issues with USB dongles

Hey,
I have 1 issue and 1 request to make.
I recently tried connecting 2 PS3 guitars (1 Guitar Hero and 1 Rock band) that I have to the Steam Link using their USB dongles to play Phase Shift.
My issue is that for some reason when the dongles are connected, the Steam Link sees them as turned on controllers, even though they are not (having just the USB connected with the guitars themselves turned off), and moreover, the Steam Link sets them to be the first controllers to be used (in the rearrange controllers order menu) which causes issues with some other games I play (like The Walking Dead for example), forcing me to rearrange the order every time I open a game to play with my regular xbox one controller.
In other games like Portal 2 it's even worse - I can't play at all as no matter what I do the regular controller mapping I've always used simply doesn't work (I noticed that the buttons in some games do work in the game's menu but not in the game itself, regardless of the controllers order).
All of these issues are immediately resolved if I disconnect the USB dongles and restart the Steam Link.

Also, I noticed that if I connect the guitars to the PC and play Phase Shift without Steam Windows will automatically recognize the guitars and all the buttons work out of the box, but when I connected it to the Steam Link it wasn't recognized and I had to remap all the buttons (that I managed to figure out using a long and frustrating trial and error) as a generic game controller.
Is there a chance you can add real support for them (and the like - like the drums) as guitar controllers?
Or maybe I'm doing something wrong and such support already exists?

It's worth saying though that aside for that I really enjoy the Steam Link and it works great.

How will that solve the issue I mentioned?

then the link will not use the dongles, it will forward the usb ports to the pc which can use its own drivers for the dongles
