[SOLVED] Wired Xbox 360 Controller Issues
When booting up the PHYSICAL Steam Link, the WIRED Xbox 360 controller works fine, but as soon as I connect to a host computer, all functions from the controller refuse to respond. It's connected directly into the Link. I tried plugging a mouse directly in and that works, but not the controller. Using the controller on my computer works 100% however.

Edit: Turns out my build version was extremely outdated and the Link's system update didn't want to find any updates. I followed https://steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/0/451852225140671817/ and was able to get my controller to finally work. All's good now.

begin streaming
go to the host pc
steam -> settings -> controller
bpm/chord/desktop can have their own mappings for each controller
if using bpm set it to defaults for all controllers

I already had tried this. Host computer does not detect any controllers at all unless they're plugged into the computer. Even if I were to set it up through my computer and then reconnect the controller to the Link, there would still would be no responses.

make sure controller streamig is enabled
link menu -> settings -> streaming -> advanced [x/square]

when you are streaming controllers, it will show in steam settings -> controller bpm/chord/dekstop menus

There is no such thing as controller streaming on my Link.

The screen shot does not even show what you are talking about. I am also having the same issue. My 360 wired controller wont even light up when plugged into my steam link. It gets recognized by the system but for some reason is getting no power. It works fine on my PC.

the usb ports on the link are not designed to charge devices, 1.5a max to its 3 ports
they are always powered when the link is powered

you can try switching the link from the new/old x360 driver (using a keyboard/mouse or other controller)
link menu -> settings -> controller

Yeah I've seen the same comments from this guy in many other threads where it didn't do anything.

None of these settings exist on my Link. I don't know if it's because it's different builds or not at this point.

I wonder if he is a Steam PR rep. They're probably nervous about the new Epic games platform.

People are not about to run to a steam forumn unless they have tried everyrthing at their disposal, and this is the most basic ♥♥♥♥ i have ever heard. Its actually insulting to mine (and anyone else who you respond to with "try checking the settings" in 12 different ways) intelligence.

This was a little harsh and i want to apologize for being such a douche. I realize most people actually would run to the steam forumn, probably because they didnt know the first thing about steam in the first place. My bad.
